1.  SC9PE

1.1  Scope.   This  specification  contains   inD structions  to  be followed in  the preparation of  detail  specifications  for  the complete. airD craft.  These  instructions  are  to govern   the detail   specification   writer   and  establish   the format   of  the  detail   specification,   but  are not  to  be  construed   as  requirements   appliD cable  to  the  design   or  construction   of  airD craft.

2.  APPLICABLE    DOCUMENTS

2.1  The  following  documents,  of  the  issue

in   effect   on the  date  of  the  invitation   for

bids,  form  a  part  of  this  specification.

3.  REQUIREMENTS

3.1  The  aircraft   detail  specification  shall present,    in   summary   form,   all   pertinent data  relative  to  the  design  and,  in  addition, shall    make   reference    to   any   other   data which  may  be  necessary  for  a  complete  deD scription   of   the  aircraft   or   design.   DrawD ings  and   related   data  shall  be   prepared  in accordance  with   Speciftcation  ·MIL-D-5028 or  as  specified  by  the  procuring  activity.

3.2   Descriptions   shall   be   complete   and precise.   Detail   speciflcaticns   shall   indicate precisely  the  intentions  of  the  bidder   and, later.   his   obligations   as   a  contractor,   the requirements   which   define  the  characterisD tics of the  aircraft,  the  type of construction, details,   et  cetera,   and   the   degree  of  comD pliance  with  requirements.   An  exact  repeD tition  of  the  language  of  those  paragraphs in the  requirements  decuments  that  are  sugD gestive   of   the   various   arrangements,   con-
